Dr Bartosz Sołowiej, Prof. UPL – Prorector for Science and International Cooperation of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin, scientist and university manager. He completed the prestigious programme of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education “Top 500 Innovators – Science. Management. Commercialization”, combining practical aspects of science, management and commercialization at the University of California, Berkeley, USA, and “Leaders in University Management at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), Germany. Lecturer, scholarship holder and participant in numerous programmes and internships at renowned universities, e.g. in Australia, Canada, Slovakia, Serbia, Isreal or China. Expert at the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). Author/co-author of numerous scientific publications from the so-called Philadelphia List. Participant in international and national training programmes on food and nutrition and dietary supplementation. Since 2009, international lecturer (Spain, Greece, France, Turkey, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Estonia, Slovakia, the Czech Republic) on food technology and human nutrition within the Erasmus Teaching Staff Mobility programme. As a researcher, he works on improving the functional properties of food products, designing new products and dietary supplements for athletes and physically active people.
